We recently stayed in a Cottage For Rent in The Lake District, and can’t recommend it highly enough. We were surrounded by open countryside on a private country estate, allowing us to take the dogs for a walk pretty much where we pleased. Having the freedom of “your own home”, rather than staying in a hotel really is the best way to spend a holiday. We will definitely be back!!

Berck-sur-Mer doesn’t seem to be served by railway, but nearby villages as Verton and Le Touquet/Etaples does. You’ll need to use the Eurostar from London to France then do a minimum of two changes with local trains and/or buses.
